Position: Civil Engineering Manager

Location: Plainsboro, NJ

We are looking for a seasoned and forward-thinking engineer to lead our Highway (Civil) Department as the Engineering Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the department’s growth, managing the execution of key projects, and supporting Project Managers across a range of transportation initiatives. You’ll collaborate directly with clients and project teams, ensuring projects are successfully delivered from conception to completion, with a focus on client satisfaction and excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Exercise strong engineering judgment to ensure high-quality project outcomes and financial success.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of NJDOT and NJTA processes to mentor, guide, and train design staff.
• Work closely with regional and office leadership to provide expert input on project strategy, scope, budget, and timelines, while fostering innovation and forming strategic partnerships.
• Participate in client, regulatory agency, and stakeholder meetings to identify needs and resolve design/permitting concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 15 years of experience in Highway Design.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in proposal writing and problem-solving.
