Job Title: OnPrem VAX Infrastructure SME

• Experience 10 to 12 Years
• Job Summary We are looking for an experienced OnPrem VAX Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert SME to manage and maintain our VAX infrastructure The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in VAX systems including maintenance troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Key Responsibilities
• Manage VAX Infrastructure Oversee the operation maintenance and troubleshooting of VAX systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• System Maintenance Perform regular maintenance tasks including updates patches and backups to keep the VAX infrastructure secure and uptodate
• Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve system issues including hardware software and network problems
• Performance Optimization Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
• Documentation Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps
• Security Management Ensure the security of the VAX infrastructure by implementing best practices and adhering to security policies
• Collaboration Work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to support business operations and projects
• Training and Support Provide training and support to other team members and end users as needed

Qualifications

• Experience 10 to 12 years of experience in managing VAX infrastructure
• Technical Skills Strong knowledge of VAX systems including hardware operating systems and associated software
• Problem-solving Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Communication Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams
• Documentation Proficiency in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation
• Certifications Relevant certifications in VAX systems or related fields are a plus
• Preferred Skills
• Experience with other legacy systems and infrastructure
• Knowledge of networking and security principles
• Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure and cloud technologies
