Job Title: Technical Project Manager – RF Optimization (Nokia)
Location: United States (Remote/Hybrid – Travel as Required)
About the Role:
We are looking for a results-driven Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a solid background in RF Optimization and hands-on experience with Nokia RAN systems. The ideal candidate will manage and lead end-to-end delivery of network performance, optimization, and integration projects while serving as the technical liaison between cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead RF optimization and performance improvement projects across LTE, 5G, and legacy technologies, with an emphasis on Nokia RAN equipment.
- Manage project scope, timeline, resources, and deliverables in a multi-vendor wireless environment.
- Serve as the technical lead for performance troubleshooting, KPI analysis, and parameter tuning, ensuring network quality targets are met.
- Coordinate and drive Nokia-specific feature deployment, software upgrades, and parameter audits to enhance network performance.
- Oversee pre- and post-launch optimization activities, cluster optimization, and acceptance testing (e.g., drive tests, OSS KPI evaluations).
- Act as the primary point of contact for client technical teams and RF engineers, providing guidance and technical clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project documentation including project plans, MOPs, reports, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure integration and acceptance testing is aligned with RF KPIs and project specifications.
- Work closely with RF tools and reporting systems (e.g., Actix, TEMS, QXDM, NetAct, PRS, iManager).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in RF Optimization and network performance management.
- Proven experience managing technical projects or acting in a project lead capacity within wireless telecom.
- Strong working knowledge of Nokia RAN systems, including NetAct, AirScale, Flexi, OSS KPIs, and parameter tuning.
- Solid understanding of LTE and 5G NR technologies and associated KPIs (e.g., accessibility, retainability, mobility, throughput).
- Experience with RF optimization tools (e.g., Actix, TEMS, Nemo, Atoll, Planet, MapInfo).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
- PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience with Tier-1 U.S. operators (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) or Nokia deployment partners.
- Familiarity with 5G beamforming, DSS, ENDC, and SA optimization strategies.
- Experience coordinating offshore teams or global delivery centers.
