Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Sarasota, FL (Various locations across Sarasota)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour | Benefits, 401K, PTO
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for full-time positions in Sarasota, FL, starting immediately and lasting through the 2025-2026 school year. These roles will involve working with students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade in a dedicated, cross-categorical classroom. Teachers will be working with students who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other emotional disabilities. We are looking for educators who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of special education students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement instructional programs to meet the needs of students with autism (ASD) or emotional disabilities.
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Work collaboratively with other special education staff, general education teachers, and support personnel.
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages students to succeed academically and socially.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students as needed.
- Participate in meetings and discussions regarding students' educational plans and needs.
Qualifications:
- Required: Florida Educator License with corresponding Special Education certification.
- Required: Minimum of 1 year of special education teaching experience.
- Required: Experience working with students across multiple grade levels.
- Ability to work effectively with students with autism (ASD) or emotional disabilities.
