Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer for an immediate start!

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY OFFICER

Implement EM 385-1-1 requirements
Involved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
Ability to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projects
Supervise safety of all onsite personnel and subcontractors
Management/Enforcement of Safety Program and Security Policies
Conduct regular safety meetings with trade subcontractors
Conduct safety orientation for all new employees onsite
Required to ensure all personnel onsite are equipped with proper PPE
Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specifications

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY OFFICER

Active experience in RMS
Past 3 consecutive years as the SSHO
Must have minimum of 5 years of experience working on a federal US government, military base
Must have current OSHA 30-Hour card
Must be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version
40HR EM385 Certification preferred
Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractors
Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to pass background check & drug test
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
40HR EM385 Certification (Preferred)
Must be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version
