Position: Senior Manager, FP&A

Location: Onsite / In-Person (San Jose, California)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager of FP&A to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will be instrumental in driving financial strategy and supporting decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analyses to ensure the financial health and strategic direction of the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical FP&A background, experience in private equity-backed SaaS companies, and a proven track record of up-leveling teams, processes, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and improve processes within the FP&A function to drive operational efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, analytical tools and internal processes, ultimately laying the foundation for future success.
  • Implement and lead annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Develop relationships as trusted business partner and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate financial insights into operational decision-making; ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting and performance tracking.
  • Provide in-depth variance analysis of financial performance against forecast, budget and prior year, identify trends, and present and articulate actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Create and maintain complex financial models to support business cases, strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Oversee and review accounting transactions during month close for data accuracy and partner with Accounting for corrections.
  • Support M&A initiatives and integrations, which include, but are not limited to synergies tracking, proforma P&L, etc.
  • Prepare standard and specialized financial reports (e.g. financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), monthly closing reports, and management reporting) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business or align with strategic initiatives.
  • Enhance financial tools, business modeling, and planning processes to address strategic challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize financial systems, including Salesforce and NetSuite.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance; SaaS experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, reporting and budgeting and forecast techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strategic and inquisitive mindset with passion for process improvement and growth/development.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment while under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools (NetSuite, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel) required.
