RETS Associates on behalf of our client, a top multi-family investment firm, is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst in Irvine, CA. The Analyst will perform financial analysis and modeling for both ground up development and existing property acquisitions. The Analyst will assist in carrying out investment/portfolio management strategies, conduct market research, track market activity, update company pipeline and support investor reporting/communications. The Analyst will be a liaison on behalf of acquisitions for supporting departments (Risk Management, Operations, and Construction), listing brokers and consultants.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• In-depth understanding of real estate, finance, valuation, and other related real estate business activities.
• Strong understanding of multifamily/commercial real estate acquisition and development processes.
• Advanced Excel (including complex financial modeling). Access database skill set is a plus.
• Strong personal initiative and desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently, be self-motivated, and a team player.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Solid understanding of multifamily real estate investment, as well as past success and experience in residential/commercial real estate asset management/investment analysis.
• 2-4 years of multifamily asset management, development or acquisition, real estate research, or another suitable real estate finance-related field (internships count towards required experience).
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or business administration required. Advanced Degree is preferred.
