Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientist II to join our Early Research team in Durham, NC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, troubleshoot, and validate new assays, including translatable cell-based models.
• Take ownership of achieving project milestones and contributing to key objectives through effective collaboration with internal and external teams across multiple locations.
• Drive scientific innovation and implement new technologies to enhance both current and future research efforts.
• Apply strong scientific reasoning to formulate hypotheses and generate meaningful insights across research programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BS with 8–10 years, MS with 10–12 years, or PhD with 0–4 years of relevant research experience; industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput screening, including assay development and execution.
• Proficient in advanced molecular biology and cell culture techniques, including cloning and culturing a range of human cell lines.
• Experience with the design, development, and application of molecular biology and CRISPRa/i/KO techniques for target validation, drug screening, and mechanism-of-action studies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with excellent organizational abilities.
• Capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.
