**Responsibilities** **RN New Grad / RN Residency Program -** **St Bernardine Medical Center** **Start Date:** Our next RN Residency program start date will begin on September 15th, 2025. Completion will be based on 100% validation of competencies during your clinical hours. Our target candidates are nurses who have graduated within one year prior to the start of the program and who have not previously worked as a registered nurse or interim permittee. Application period is open beginning June 15th, 2025, and will close when we receive enough qualified applications per each opening. **Program Commitment:** The program consists of a clinical orientation in addition to a 12-month transition-to-practice. The program requires full-time(40-hour) employment during the length of the program (12 months from start). The New Graduate Residency Program features a challenging program blending classroom didactics with clinical experience and unit socialization. **Departments Participating:** Telemetry Medical Surgical Acute Orthopedics Oncology *Department & Shift to be decided upon successful completion of panel interview. **Application:** Please include a cover letter / Letter of intent, and explain your top 1 or 2 departments of preference, and why you are interested in working at St Bernardine Medical Center. The postings may be removed early after 100 applications have been received. + Interviews will be held in person beginning June 23rd, 2025-July 2nd, 2025. + The first day of Orientation is September 15th, 2025 **Qualifications** **Eligibility:** + Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing required, within the past 12 months. + 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience. + An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state they will be practicing (interim permits cannot be accepted) upon hire. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. + Additional certifications may be required based on populations served. **Overview** Founded as a faith-based hospital in 1931 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Dignity Health - St. Bernardine Medical Center is a 342-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in San Bernardino, California.
