Project Manager – Construction

Non-Profit Sector | Full-Time | Exempt

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Location: Oakland Area, CA

A well-established non-profit organization in the Oakland area is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction, renovation, and facilities-related projects across multiple sites. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community-serving initiatives while managing a diverse range of property and facility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction, renovation, and facilities design projects from initiation to completion.
  • Manage bid reviews, contract execution, progress monitoring, and final inspections.
  • Ensure projects comply with building codes, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver safe, functional, and well-designed facilities.
  • Lead risk management initiatives related to facilities and construction, including safety measures and compliance programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, manage property damage claims, and oversee vendor performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction and facilities management (Oakland/Bay Area experience preferred).
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems, and energy conservation practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Additional Information:

  • Full-time, with flexibility for evening or weekend work as needed.
  • Role requires local travel across sites (mileage reimbursement provided).
