Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with child and adolescent specialization to join our multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on psychiatric assessment, medication management, and collaborative care for youth in a supportive, non-crisis setting.

The PMHNP will provide care through a mix of drop-in and scheduled appointments , helping ensure flexibility and access for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for youth clients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management
  • Monitor, adjust, and evaluate medication regimens for effectiveness and safety
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate clients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and wellness strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in psychiatric care

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Specialization in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (required)
  • Experience working with youth (ages 12–25)
  • Ability to provide own supervising MD
  • Strong clinical judgment and collaborative mindset

Schedule & Commitment

  • 4 hours per week (initially)
  • 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Any weekday except Wednesday
  • Must work the same day each week for consistency
  • Potential opportunity for additional hours in the future

Caseload & Clinical Focus

  • 2–4 youth per week
  • Non-crisis population
  • Common diagnoses include depression, anxiety, ADHD, and family conflict
