CornerStone Staffing has partnered with the City of Dallas and is seeking a dedicated Nutritionist to join their team at a WIC clinic in Dallas, TX.

In this role, you will provide professional nutritional assessments, counseling, and education to participants in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Your work will play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of families in our community.

Job Title: Nutritionist – WIC Program

Location: Dallas, TX

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Schedule: Hours vary by location; can include Saturday

Bilingual: (English/Spanish) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate clinical and nutritional data to determine WIC eligibility.
• Conduct assessments including weight, height, and iron levels.
• Refer participants to health services for additional care as needed.
• Determine appropriate food packages and set individualized health goals.
• Provide high-risk dietary counseling and education.
• Educate participants through individual sessions, group classes, and informational materials.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals regarding participant health.
• Assist with breastfeeding education and support.
• Prepare growth charts and diet recalls to assess nutritional status.
• Support clinic operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics (required).
• 2 years of experience in a nutritional or dietetics setting.
• Knowledge of WIC and community health programs.
• Ability to assess nutritional data and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred , but not required.
