LHH is currently recruiting for a Medical Pre-Billing Specialist for one of our top clients in Phoenix, AZ. This is a fully onsite, direct hire role where you'll be making a real difference for our patients and our team.

What You'll Do:

• Be a Patient Advocate: Help patients understand their outstanding balances and guide them through third-party payer options and Medicaid qualification.
• Analyze Trends: Spot adverse billing, collections, and payer trends. Report your findings to management and suggest solutions.
• Understand Payer Requirements: Know the ins and outs of payer fee schedules, claim requirements, and facility contracts.
• Communicate with Insurances: Contact insurance companies and government agencies to verify eligibility, process authorizations, and discuss benefits and billing requirements.
• Handle Patient Calls: Support collections activities, including financial reviews for charity programs, payment plans, and resolving patient concerns.
• Verify Insurance Coverage: Confirm insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and coordinate benefits.

What You Need:

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years in medical billing/collections.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and medical billing software. Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, medical terminology, and clinical documentation.
• Other Requirements: Must pass a pre-placement drug test and background screen.

Compensation:

• Salary: $41,600 - $47,500 annually, based on experience.
