Akkodis is seeking a Product Development Engineer for a 12+ Contract position with a client located in Maple Grove, MN

Pay Range: $45/hr - $49/hr ( The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. )

Position Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity to support the WATCHMAN Division within the Cardiology group. This role will be a member of the Therapy Optimization team which seeks to support our physicians and field clinical team in the use of our device through the analysis of medical imaging such as CT and echo to identify procedural best practices and unmet needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create a strong team culture around high expectations & high-performance
2. Understand anatomy, clinical use cases, and the user interface
3. Prepare physician-facing presentations to summarize bench studies and coordinate cross-functional approval before distribution
4. Facilitate crisp decision-making around key technical issues
5. Provide clear communication to stakeholders at key technical updates
6. Leverage internal/external partners as necessary to achieve project objectives
7. Lead the design & execution of structured experimental plans to drive data-based decisions
8. Support bench & preclinical studies.
9. Understand engineering design, processes, and materials and communicate them to others.
10. Work cooperatively with quality, regulatory, clinical, marketing, and other supporting functions to ensure project success.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 2 - 4 Years with BS 0 - 2 Years with MS
2. Class II or Class III Medical Device product development experience
3. Experience with CT or echo-based medical imaging data
4. Ability to research literature and develop clinical understanding with technical credibility
5. Experience with 3D modeling, segmentation and 3D printing
6. Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge
7. Nitinol experience
8. Solid clinical knowledge and experience in cardiovascular anatomy.
