Job Description

We’re excited to share an incredible opportunity for a Lead UX/UI Designer to join the innovation team of a globally recognized e-commerce brand! In this dynamic role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of commerce by developing cutting-edge products and services. You'll be at the forefront of innovation—prototyping, brainstorming, and testing new concepts in simulated environments. You'll have the chance to work directly with end users, inviting them to experience and provide feedback on new apps in real-world scenarios. Given the high level of collaboration required, this role follows a hybrid schedule, Monday through Thursday in office .

While you’ll bring designs to life, you won’t necessarily be carrying them all the way through to implementation. You’ll be working with a small team of experts in retail and innovation to create new products that will delight users and create innovative opportunities for the business. This isn’t your typical Agile UX role working with POs & devs where you are working on iterative improvements. Get ready to make waves!

If you thrive in a creative, fast-paced setting where your work directly influences the future of shopping experiences, this role would be perfect for you!

Must have skills

  • Principal level UX experience (8+ years of experience in UX design)
  • Expert with Figma
  • High comfortability with doing iterative design work quickly and an expert at creating prototypes
  • Experience designing for mobile, tablet and desktop applications
  • Experience with user testing, concept walkthroughs and rapid prototyping in workshop-like settings
  • Executive level presentation skills as well as excellent communication skills are required.
  • Strong experience with conceptual work with new products and services (creating proofs of concepts)
  • Expert level working end to end on design process, thrives in the messy and conceptual work of low-medium fidelity UX design.
  • Comfortability with discovery research, but most importantly how to translate insights into design concepts

Nice to haves

  • Capable of also taking designs to high fidelity
  • Experience working in an innovation team / lab
  • E- Commerce or DTC (direct to consumer) design experience is considered a plus

Contract role, 6 months to start, very likely to be renewed
