Growing In House Legal Department Seeks Labor Union Attorney on Employer Side

Our client, a professional services' organization, is seeking an experienced In-House Labor Attorney to lead complex labor relations matters across a multi-union environment. This is a strategic, high-impact role that will serve as the lead negotiator and key advisor on all labor-related matters. The ideal Labor Law Attorney has a deep understanding of collective bargaining, labor law, and union relations on the employer side .

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Labor Negotiations: Act as lead negotiator in collective bargaining sessions; develop strategy, draft proposals, and serve as spokesperson during union negotiations.
• Labor Relations Oversight: Manage and support all aspects of the labor relations program, including contract administration, grievance resolution, and arbitration preparation.
• Compliance & Legal Advisory: Advise internal stakeholders on federal, state, and local labor and employment laws. Ensure collective bargaining agreements and internal policies are compliant with applicable laws.
• Union Relations: Maintain ongoing communication and partnership with union representatives to proactively address workplace concerns and contractual issues.

Hybrid onsite in Pasadena

Requirements :

1. Licensed Attorney
2. Employer-side representation experience
3. Demonstrated labor law experience, including first-chair experience in union negotiations .
4. Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
5. Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of labor negotiations and collective bargaining processes.
6. Experience interacting with unions, internal stakeholders, and external legal bodies such as the NLRB.
