Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned System Administrator with over 10 years of hands-on experience, including at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment , to manage and support our diverse IT infrastructure. This role involves maintaining a variety of platforms— Windows and Linux servers, Windows/macOS desktops and laptops, and VMware-based virtualization systems —alongside supporting networking and operational technology (OT) systems.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled IT professional with a broad technical skillset, a proactive approach to cybersecurity, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a proven track record of delivering reliable end-user and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server (expert level), Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS), and macOS environments.
• Manage and optimize virtualization infrastructure (expert level, especially VMware vSphere ).
• Maintain server and workstation hardware, OS, and applications .
• Perform patch management, software deployment , and configuration management (experience with Intune/Autopilot a plus).
• Oversee data backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity (familiarity with tools like Veeam ).
• Monitor system performance, review logs, and ensure high availability .
• Implement and enforce security best practices ; identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support and administer Active Directory , Group Policy , Remote Desktop Services , and Microsoft 365 .
• Deliver technical support to end-users both on-site and remotely via a ticketing system.
• Provide infrastructure support for Operational Technology (OT) in the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2016+ , Linux CLI, and VMware vSphere .
• Proficiency with Windows/macOS desktops , Active Directory , Group Policy , and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance for both servers and workstations.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals : TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
• Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or shop floor systems.
• Familiarity with SQL Server , IIS/Apache , and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams .
• Knowledge of Cisco networking , firewalls , VPNs , and Azure fundamentals .
• Relevant certifications preferred: MCSE, Server+, Network+, Security+ .
