Job Description

Auburn Ridge, a leading provider of high-quality building products and solutions, is currently seeking a skilled Garage Door Installer to join our growing team. As a Garage Door Installer, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional installation of residential garage doors and related components.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Installation of Garage Doors & Openers:

   • Safely and accurately install a variety of residential garage doors, door openers, and related hardware.
   • Ensure proper alignment, balance, and functionality of installed doors.

2. On-Site Assessment & Problem Solving:

   • Review job specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to determine the best installation approach.
   • Identify and address any potential obstacles or safety concerns prior to installation.

3. Customer Service & Communication:

   • Interact professionally with customers on-site, answering questions and explaining operation, maintenance, and safety features.
   • Communicate effectively with the project manager and other team members to ensure smooth project completion.

4. Tools & Equipment Management:

   • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
   • Ensure all tools and materials are accounted for at the end of each job

5. Quality Control:

   • Conduct final inspections of installed doors to ensure proper operation and high-quality workmanship.
   • Address any necessary adjustments or touch-ups to meet company standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a garage door installer, carpenter, or in a similar construction or mechanical trade is highly preferred.
• Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read blueprints or work orders.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs).
  • Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
