Job Description

GSM Industrial, a regional leader since 1983 in industrial fabrication, installation and mechanical contracting, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in various welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux Core), GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG) , and be proficient in welding carbon steel and stainless steel in all positions (1G-5G) .

  Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced Welding Proficiency : Skilled in FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes, with extensive experience working on carbon steel and stainless steel .
• All Position Welding : Ability to weld in 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G positions with precision and consistency.
• Code-Quality Welding : Proven experience in full penetration welding, back purge welding , and producing welds that pass RT (Radiographic Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), and hydrostatic tests .
• Polished Stainless Steel Welding : Experience working with polished stainless steel under stringent visual inspection requirements is a plus.
• Blueprint Reading & Fit-Up : Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints , perform precise fit-up , and execute complex assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Rigging & Crane Operation : Hands-on experience with rigging and complex crane operations to handle large and intricate welding projects safely and efficiently.
• Safety & Quality Compliance : Commitment to following industry safety standards, quality control protocols, and best practices for welding and fabrication.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an industrial, structural, or pressure vessel welding environment .
• Certification(s) in relevant welding disciplines (AWS, ASME, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Compensation details: 25-35 Hourly Wage
