Job Summary

As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations while maintaining a safe, efficient, and sanitary work environment. You’ll direct a talented culinary team to deliver exceptional, health-forward meals for patients, guests, and staff — helping advance Morrison Healthcare’s mission to nourish both body and spirit.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute regular and modified menus following established dietary guidelines and company standards.
Maintain high culinary standards across patient dining, retail, and catering services.
Prepare or supervise the preparation of meals, ensuring adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitation practices.
Maintain inventory of food and supplies within budget while ensuring product availability.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations and company sanitation procedures.
Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
Analyze production data, food costs, and waste logs to identify efficiencies and improvements.
Collaborate with hospital and Morrison leadership to achieve service excellence and client satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
A.S. degree or equivalent culinary experience required; Bachelor’s in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
5+ years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, ideally in healthcare or high-volume operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with institutional or batch cooking; catering experience a plus.
Knowledge of culinary trends, sanitation practices, food cost controls, and presentation standards.
Hands-on chef experience required; ServSafe® certification strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and kitchen management systems.
Commitment to teamwork, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
