Title: Medical Equipment Repair Technician Location: Shaker Heights, OH // Cleveland, OH
Schedule: 1 day in office (Shaker Heights, OH) // 4 days traveling
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Pay Rate: $30/hr
MUST HAVES:
Experience and knowledge of electronics (i.e., electronic theory, technology, and test equipment)
Able to analyze, repair, and test electronic and electromechanical equipment
Able to perform routine preventative maintenance inspections
Able to run diagnostic software applications
Competent and professional with oral and written communication
Valid driver’s license
Excellent time management skills
Comfortable with long-distance driving 4 days a week
PLUSSES:
Associates degree in electronic, biomedical engineering
Discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Equivalent of military BMET program
Combination of relevant experience, military training, and education
CBET certification
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Medical Equipment Repair Technician to work for one of their top clients. Under direct supervision this position will troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems and instruments. They will be in office 1 day per week for administrative tasks and traveling to retrieve and deliver equipment 4 days per week.
This person will provide customer relations and resolve equipment service problems by ensuring that clinical capability is restored as quickly as possible. They will also maintain communication with customers regarding the status of equipment repairs.
Daily Responsibilities:
Inventory, inspect, repair and calibrate basic equipment and systems.
Preparing required documentation and reports regulatory compliance.
Assist Healthcare Technology Management specialists with service of advanced patient care equipment.
Visit customer sites to retrieve and deliver depot-repaired equipment.
Ensures regulatory compliance.
Interacts on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology based problems and solutions.
Solves organizational-level customer and service issues and complaints.
Demonstrates a safety mindset.
Financial responsibility for purchasing parts and service.
