Job Description

We are a leading manufacturer of precision temperature sensors, specializing in the design and production of thermocouples and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) engineered for extreme and mission-critical aerospace environments

The Engineering role will design, develop, test and build temperature sensors for aerospace applications. The candidate must be detailed-oriented in nature, have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with diverse personalities within several departments. Other qualities include strong communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and implement manufacturing processes for Thermocouples and RTDs used in aerospace applications.

  • Review customer specifications and assist with technical proposals on new sensor applications.

  • Hands-on prototyping and testing of new designs to verify the operational performance.

  • Lead process validations, first article inspections (FAI), and PPAPs for new and legacy part numbers.

  • Drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and sensor accuracy through data-driven root cause analysis and lean methodologies.

  • Develop work instructions, SOPs, tooling specifications, and quality control checkpoints.

  • Coordinate and support seamless transfer of new products for manufacturing operation.

  • Prepare ATPs, QTPs, QTRs, reliability, maintainability and other documents as needed; and supervise/perform various testing including bring-up and design verification tests. Identify potential weak points, and develop solutions based on engineering judgment, and input from customers, suppliers and other systems partners.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance to address nonconformances, implement CAPAs, and ensure AS9100 compliance.

  • Support customer audits, design reviews, and technical documentation packages (e.g., control plans, FMEAs, WPS/PQRs).

  • Interface with supply chain and external vendors for material specification, outsourcing processes, and component qualification.

  • May have overall project responsibility;

  • Will act as a lead on most assigned projects and assist other engineers and technicians
