OverviewPart Time Dental HygienistPeriodontology, IncColumbus, OH We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and supporting the dental team in delivering an exceptional patient experience. Your clinical expertise and patient-first mindset will play a vital role in promoting long-term oral health for our community. Schedule: Part Time Wednesday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing as neededTake and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gumsEducate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive careApply sealants and fluoride treatments when appropriatePrepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocolsAssist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental recordMonitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipmentEnsure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standardsPlease note that additional responsibilities may be assigned QualificationsRequirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of practiceAssociate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program2+ years of experience Preferred SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGentle and compassionate chairside mannerProficiency with dental software and digital chartingAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamAttention to detail and commitment to delivering quality careFamiliarity with common dental procedures and patient education techniques We OfferCompetitive CompensationComprehensive Benefits Package for Full Time Employees: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and much more!
