Job Overview

The CT Scanner Technician Assistant supports the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and evaluation of CT scanners. This role collaborates closely with lead technicians, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure optimal performance and quality of scanner systems in a lab and field environment

Duties

• Perform CT scans on patients as per physician orders while adhering to safety protocols.

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.

• Operate CT equipment effectively, ensuring high-quality images are obtained.

• Maintain accurate records of patient scans and related data.

• Collaborate with radiologists to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.

• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the imaging department.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and institutional policies.

• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in technology and techniques.

• Install, set up, and maintain CT scanners.

• Conduct complex troubleshooting, experiments, and diagnostic tests to resolve system issues.

• Support lead technicians in hardware and software evaluations.

• Assist in enhancing delivery, safety, productivity, cost-efficiency, cycle time, and quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and service departments.

• Handle physical tasks including lifting and moving CT scanner parts for assembly and troubleshooting.

• Utilize Linux systems or equivalent operating environments effectively.

• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Management System (QMS) regulations and policies.

Skills .

• Experience with Linux or similar operating systems.

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a hands-on technical environment.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of quality, safety, and productivity metrics in a lab or production setting.

• Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree
