Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose

We are seeking a talented professional to join the Investor Relations (IR) team. The Investor Relations team works closely with various disciplines across the company to manage the firm’s internal and external communication with all major audiences. External audiences include, but are not limited to, investors, equity research, and media. As a large cap publicly traded company, the IR role is crucial to the preservation of the firm's image as a leading diversified capital manager, as well as the messaging regarding the firm's current and future business strategy. Not only will this opportunity include interfacing with the public constituencies, but also with internal stakeholders including senior management, the firm’s Operating Committee, the Board of Directors and individual investment teams to drive business strategy, operations and performance. The IR team also cross functions closely with the Strategy, Capital Markets, Finance, Legal and Corporate Responsibility & Government Relations teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Development of communication strategy aimed at major audiences including Investors, Media, and Analysts
  • Monitoring and internal reporting of relevant industry benchmarking and market performance of the firm and peer group
  • Support investor targeting, monitoring and analysis
  • Liaison between IR, Strategy, Finance, Capital Markets, Legal and Corporate Responsibility & Government Relations groups on analysis for Senior Management
  • Conduct ad hoc research and analysis to assist in the drafting of quarterly earnings press release, investor presentation, conference call script and Q&A
  • Support material creation on:
  • Investor presentations
  • Press releases
  • Strategic IR initiatives
  • Marketing materials
  • Annual Report, Proxy
  • Website and social media content
  • Internal briefing materials
  • Aid in the organization of:
  • Conferences
  • Roadshows
  • Analyst and Investor meetings
  • Website / Media content

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience working at an investment firm – preferably with a focus on capital markets, trading, investment management or investment banking
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY, role is based in NYC (4 days in office)
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to work additional hours as needed to complete deadline driven projects
