Job Description

A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have private equity experience, healthcare experience, and their CPA. The Controller role is a hybrid position, with 3 days each week being onsite. This is a client direct hire position. Controller Job Responsibilities Build out and execute accounting processes and procedures, the monthly closing process, maintain the chart of accounts, and implement financial reports. Continue to optimize NetSuite’s tools to accommodate the company’s growth and reporting needs Responsible for all accounting integrations for each acquisition, coordinating with external accounting advisors as needed Responsible for timely execution of the month-end close within 10 business days Drive timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and efficient financial reporting Partner with FP&A team to ensure seamless integration between budgets/forecasts and actuals Manage external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner Serve as the Company's expert on accounting matters, partnering with other departments on accounting-related questions and initiatives Evaluate and identify areas of potential exposure and internal control weakness, and evaluate and improve processes and workflows as necessary Serve as a leader not just within the finance and accounting function, but across the company Partner with the Revenue Cycle team to ensure revenue recognition and AR reserve policies are supported with data and are in compliance with GAAP. Controller Personal Attributes Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environment, strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to identify and implement process improvement capabilities Self-starter, starting, and completing tasks without daily direction Experience and desire to work in an undefined, start-up environment Career-motivated professional who is self-confident, energetic and possess a strong work ethic Works well independently and with a team Ability to engage and lead a team Controller Special Proficiencies Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with NetSuite is required. Excellent accounting and operational skills with a strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Experience handling treasury activities including AP payment runs through banking institutions and the preparation and approval of wires and ACH payments, etc. Controller Education and Experience ~ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent ~5+ years of public accounting and/or relevant industry experience ~ Previous experience integrating acquired companies is preferred ~ Experience in healthcare and / or PE backed companies is required ~ Certified Public Accountant (active) ------------------------------------ UHY Advisors'​ Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
