Veranda Capital is Hiring a CFO!

Veranda Capital is a boutique real estate investment and development firm specializing in student housing and luxury flip projects across the U.S. We are on a high-growth trajectory and seeking a strategic, hands-on CFO to help scale our business, optimize financial performance, and support our capital campaigns.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll work directly with our founders and key stakeholders to shape the financial future of a dynamic and entrepreneurial real estate firm.

✅ Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute financial strategies that support growth and profitability.
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow analysis .
• Support capital raising efforts and structure financing for real estate acquisitions and development projects.
• Work with our SEC attorneys on the financial aspects of our funds.

✅ Accounting & Financial Operations

• Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes , ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Work with the firm's CPA to prepare tax returns.
• Oversee construction loan draws, financial reporting, and investor distributions .
• Maintain strong financial controls and oversight.
• Oversee and manage bookkeeping team.

✅ Investor & Lender Relations

• Act as the financial face of the company, managing relationships with lenders, investors, and financial partners .
• Prepare and present quarterly investor reports and financial performance insights .
• Determine best loan products for acquisitions and refinances.

🔹 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in real estate, private equity, or a related field.

🔹 Deep understanding of real estate finance, capital markets, and fund structures .

🔹 Strong technical skills in accounting (GAAP), financial modeling, and tax planning .

🔹 Experience with construction financing, investor reporting, and loan management .

🔹 Proficiency in QuickBooks and financial management software .

🔹 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
