Job Description

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR)

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL

Primary Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Hours: 40 per week

Start date: 01/05/2026 (13 Weeks)

On-Call: Emergency call every third week (7 days)

Every other weekend call (work only if case is posted)

Pay Package (40 hrs/week)

• Gross Weekly: $2,600.00
• Taxable: $34/hr
• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,240.00

Case Mix:

• Primary: Open heart surgery (CVOR)
• Other Specialties: General surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Neuro

Required Experience & Education

• Operating Room or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience required (will consider 18 months with at least 1 year CVOR experience )
• High school diploma or equivalent

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
• NIH
